Daniel Levy, PhD

Dr. Daniel Levy is an experienced organic/medicinal chemist and an expert in biotechnology with broad knowledge in the biomedical sciences. Dr. Levy received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Over many years he has made significant contributions to the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting inflammatory disorders, cardiovascular disease and cancer. In his almost 20 years in the US biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Levy led interdisciplinary teams and served as project director coordinating development processes from early stage design to final products.
                                 
As a consultant, Dr. Levy provides strategic guidance and program implementation services to companies in areas such as diagnostics and drug delivery. Set-up and management of outsourcing activities is a key service supporting these sectors.  Additionally, he provides technical due diligence services, facilitates intellectual property development and supports the filing of grant applications. Dr. Levy has also access to a wide network of investment groups focusing on projects in biotechnology.
 

David Israel, BSc
 
David Israel is a highly skilled professional with more than 35 years’ experience in the Global Health Care Business, involving sales, marketing, product management, product development, business development, procurement, exports, project management and implementation. Product segments include Medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food supplements, nutraceuticals and OTC (Over- the- Counter) products. 
 
During his professional career, Mr. Israel has held important positions in multi-national pharmaceutical companies including Johnson & Johnson and TEVA Pharmaceutical Industries. In TEVA, in which he is currently active, he is Director of Procurement third party products Asia-Pacific Region responsible for ensuring continuous product supply at the best prices and right quality and securing continuous vendor development for identifying alternate sources and cost savings.  He has recently also served as Head of Global Marketing – Tissue Trauma Products – TEVA Global Strategic Marketing.
 
Among Mr. Israel’s numerous achievements: he was selected as best Regional Manager in Johnson & Johnson, successfully nurtured and launched an innovative device globally for TEVA Medical Ltd. and created and launched a range of private label advanced wound care dressings. He has great knowledge and familiarity with European, North-American and Asian markets.
 
 
 
 Avigail Gilboa, PhD

Dr. Gilboa is a specialist in nutrition with many years of experience in basic nutritional sciences and clinical nutritional practice. She earned her doctorate from London University. Her past professional activities also include water-related research in marine biology and environmental sciences.

She is a lecturer at Reidman College in Haifa in the fields of orthomolecular nutrition and kinesiology and serves as Director of Pedagogic Programs at Misgav College in Sahnin and, in addition to orthomolecular nutrition, also teaches herbal medicine and therapeutics.
 
Dr. Gilboa’s work as a clinical nutritionist is centered around two clinics, which she operates in the northern and central parts of Israel. Diseases and conditions which constitute the foci of her practice include metabolic syndrome and pre-diabetes, women’s health, allergies and environmental diseases. In the realm of neurological and behavioral disorders, Dr. Gilboa specializes in attention deficit disorders, hyperactivity and learning disabilities. Moreover, she also manages elderly persons with degenerative neurological conditions, which can manifest themselves clinically as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s dementia.
 
Dr. Gilboa’s rich experience in nutrition as a therapeutic and preventive medicine tool greatly benefits the activities of ESPA regarding development of new products and their clinical testing and subsequent clinical use.


Emma Kvitnitsky, MA
 
Emma Kvitnitsky is a chemist with over 20 years of experience in plant extract chemistry and technology, microcapsulation technologies, physical and polymer chemistry. In addition,  she has managed activities of R&D/QC laboratories, scale up, production and technological development as well as planning and establishment of production facilities.
 
Emma Kvitnitsky has established start-up companies with great success, includingTAGRA Biotechnology Ltd., Israel, utilizing skills in innovative business development, management and protection of IP. The company supplies micro-capsulated active ingredients to multinational companies such as Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, Revlon and others. She is a co-founder of FuCan Ltd., a company, which develops new pharmaceuticals from natural derivatives.
 
She is also associated with MIGAL Galilee Technology Center and serves as manager of its laboratory “Chemistry of Plant Extracts” responsible for the development of botanical plant extracts including extraction technology, analytical methods, isolation of active compounds and reference standards from plants. Emma Kvitnitsky is the founder and CEO of E.M.M.A. Management and Consulting Ltd providing services “from R&D to business”. Activities are focused on a wide spectrum of industries related to botanical extracts, agriculture, food supplements, food and medical food, cosmetics and dermatology, delivery systems and pharmacy.
 
As a researcher and co-inventor of several patented products related to plant extract technology and micro-capsulation, over 80 unique raw materials have been introduced and commercialized on the world market.
